Heroes: Season 1

Ooooof it's good. It's fricken amazing actuLly. For those of you who haven't watched/heard of it, it's about 12ish people who have discovered that they have super-power abilities which allow them to do pretty much anything. From flying to bending space and time. But of course it can't all be sunshine and dandelions, there is of course the stereotypical badguy with the all too obvious ability of being able to steal other heroes abilities. Well, actually, it's a little more detailed then that. Sylar, the bad guy, is able to learn how things work simply by looking at it's source. So to learn another heroes powers all he has to do is cut the top of their heads off and look at the brain and bam, he can fly, read minds, walk through walls, etc.

The story gets pretty confusing at parts, especially with the time travelling Japanese man who turns out to be the greatest hero who's future self makes several, casually appearances to lend a hand. There's also Peter Petrelli, who's an empath and essentially the arch rival of Sylar. Both of them can take other people's powers for their own uses, but Peter doesn't have to kill to do it, he merely calls upon the thought of that person and he can use their ability. A true good versus evil duo there.

Season 1 revolves around the theme of, "Save the cheerleader, save the world." the cheerleader is indestructible, and it shows you this various times. By killing her and bringing her back on many occasions, just so you don't forget. Basically, if Sylar gets the cheerleader, he becomes unstoppable.

It's a very, very good program and one I would recommend to anyone!
